Autonomous cars, and the technologies that drive them, are the rage at this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Aside from the gnawing fear and insecurity such cars instill in the pit of your stomach, they're pretty cool--as this Audi Piloted Driving demo proves. Here, you'll see a car drive itself into a parking garage, find a spot, and park itself--perfectly. Then, to put the icing on the robotic overlord cake, a simple nudge from a smartphone app calls the car back to pickup its owner. Enjoy.
The C SEED 201 is the largest outdoor viewable television in the world with its 201-inch backlit LED screen. When the television is not being watched, it is stored underground in a waterproof shaft. The touch of a button on the TV’s remote control opens the lid of the storage shaft. A pillar-shaped support column then rises to as high as 15 feet. Once the stand reaches its set height, seven large screen panels unfold to form the 201-inch LED television.

Though coming to a quick end in the playoffs, Andrew Luck had a season unlike any rookie quarterback in NFL history for the Indianapolis Colts. He set numerous rookie records, led the team from a 2-14 season to 11-5 on the strength of a record-tying seven game-winning drives and showed veteran poise in carrying the Colts to unforeseen heights. Despite handing the ball off a lot in his Stanford days and coach Chuck Pagano’s preseason talk of ground-and-pound, Luck was the Colts offense this year. [See & Read More]

The United Kingdom has a new royal—the Princess 40M, which is the largest yacht to date from England’s Princess Yachts. Named for its length in meters, the 132-foot model marks the shipyard’s first foray into this size range, and the results are impressive: Balconies on each side of the salon fold down, and for hull number one (christened Imperial Princess), the owner selected richly colored and textured walnut wood to adorn the walls and walnut and limestone to alternate underfoot. Iconic Italian sports car maker Lamborghini is celebrating it's 50th Anniversary in 2013. As you can imagine we will be seeing a lot of special models and events around the anniversary. This week Lamborghini has launched a first video teaser of what’s to come. The video gives a look at the past and the future of the brand. Enjoy.
The coupe is already as screaming fury with 700 hp coming from its 6.5-liter V12 engine, but that wasn’t enough to keep Lamborghini happy. Instead, the exotic car builder decided to take the Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster a step further by offering it with an open air cabin. But building something like that wasn’t as simple as acting like Jay-Z and Kanye West around a Maybach. In “top down” form, they stow underneath the hood. Apart from that there are only a few other changes the differentiate the Roadster from its coupe sibling. Before tacking on the gas guzzler tax, you’ll spend $441,600 on the car — a $58,300 premium over the dedicated hard top model. Enjoy.
Apparently, bulls are faster than reindeer, because it seems Santa has switched in his sleigh for something a little more sporty: a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster. Good old Kris Kringle might take an entire night to deliver gifts when he's casually coasting through the air, but when he's on the ground in a 700hp machine that takes him only three seconds to get to 62 mph, gifts are most likely under the tree in a few hours. Cheer, Santa. Good thinking.
BMW officially reveals the new 2014 M6 Gran Coupe ahead of its launch next summer. Neatly filling a void between the M6 Coupe and M5, the M6 Gran Coupe is BMW’s response to Audi’s S7 and Mercedes-Benz’s CLS63. Here is a four-door gran turismo packed with all the power and luxury needed — featuring a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8 engine rated at 560 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. Power is first sent to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and onto a unique limited-slip Active M Differential before reaching the rear wheels. Watch the video after the jump. [See & Read More]
