Breitling gives its latest nod to aviators and their heritage with the new Transocean Unitime Pilot. The timepiece does so through the crown-adjustable world time system that corrects all indications, allowing the wearer to effortlessly negotiate travel between different timezones. The movement is a Manufacture Breitling Caliber B05, which is housed in a satin-brushed steel case with a steel mesh bracelet. The Pilot is available with a blue dial, polished red gold case, and with a 1,000-piece limited edition black steel case and bracelet. Having produced several versions of its highly recognizable four-counter in-line chronograph, the Swiss watchmaker Eberhard has now released a model designed for pure durability. The Chrono 4 Géant “Full Injection” (around $12,000 USD) is subjected to a special process to saturate its steel case with carbon, thereby creating a harder, more scratch-resistant material. The case is then coated with a diamond-like carbon treatment for color. The watch also boasts water resistance up to 200 meters and a textured rubber strap.
