Mercedes-Benz‘s uber SUV, the G63 AMG, is set to get some new shoes this year as the German automaker has announced a 6×6 version will be made available to the public. Previously reserved for military use, the 6×6 features a pickup-style body with a spacious cargo bed and a four door, full size cab. In spite of its impressive size and weight, the car boasts a 0-60 mph time of less than six seconds thanks to the 536 horsepower V8 engine and 7G-tronic seven speed gearbox. The company plans to build just 20 to 30 vehicles a year so expect a lengthy waiting list. No word on pricing yet but it’s probably a safe bet to place this in the “If you have to ask, you can’t afford it” category.

The Spring/Summer 2013 campaign from fashion house Dolce & Gabbana sees Italian model and actress Monica Bellucci (Irreversible, The Matrix Reloaded) surrounded by local men on the sunny Sicilian coast. First came the road toy,the First came the road toy,the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive in the AMG Electricbeam Magno matte yellow paint. Price? $435,000 USD. The next logical “forget you, recession” power move from the German marque is making that car into an EFFING boat: the Cigarette AMG Electric Drive Concept, an impossibly long watercraft painted in that same wild, volt-esque color scheme. Seen first at the Miami International Boat Show, the 38-foot long powerboat is actually run on two of the same electric powertrains that the SLS uses. [See More]

As the last installment of the Red Line series we get to see the public finally get a chance to drive the new all wheel drive Porsche 911 Carrera 4. The video starts out telling us that it's below zero around 9AM and that it's a great driving day. I loved seeing the cars started and thawing so that they can be driven around the track and tested in ways only Porsche could be tested. I'd love to be a part of this event, getting ready in the freezing morning and driving my favorite car in a once in a lifetime experience. Check it out for yourself, you won't be disappointed. Enjoy.

Designed by Bercy Chen Architecture and located in Austin, Texas is the Edgeland House. Referencing the native pit houses of North Americas earliest inhabitants, the Edgeland House features a semi-subterranean design that improves thermal efficiency while also giving the residence a striking appearance. The split design of the house divides the house between social and private areas and its strong, angular contrast nicely with the natural surroundings that ensconce the property. The icing on the cake is the courtyard area bisecting the two spaces and leading to an outdoor pool. [See More]

Master Mixologist and leading spirits authority James Moreland joined the Flipflop team when he learned that flipflop would be creating a rum that was both rich and affordable. Tasting some of the very first samples available, Moreland recognized early on that flipflop had created something unique."Flipflop Wines has become one of the fastest growing brands in the market for good reason. Flipflop has mastered a perfect pairing, making great products entirely accessible and enjoyable for all," said Moreland. "The Flipflop Silver and Spiced rums are no exception. Smooth and easy to drink, the Spiced Rum ends with a subtle but lingering finish of cinnamon and vanilla --making it both ideal on the rocks or as a base for great mixed drinks." Enjoy.
